Team Lead Daily Post: 19.May.2017

We found the wet weight of our ROV. Motors have been attached and the circuit board has been completed and tested. We have acquired a pool noodle for buoyancy and know how much of it will we need (at least before we add camera and doo-hickey for grabbing stuff). But our ROV is hooked-up and working!

The frame was tested on the pool, to see how it balanced and floated. Motors and floatation devices were attached to see how it worked out. The control box only needs one more switch to be soldered on then tested and it will be good to go. The motors have began to be soldered.

Team Lead Daily Log 15.May. 2017

The prototype of the ROV has been completed and the all the necessary parts of building it has been purchased. The ROV is now complete and the only components needed to add are the motors, propellers, and getting the control box done. The propellers are nearly done and we are almost ready to attach it to the ROV. We are almost done and ready to test out the ROV in the miniature pool.

12.May,2017 Team Lead Daily Post

Dila is continuing to prototype, a solid design has been created, we just need to solidify it with motors and camera placement. She also began designing it on paper. The boys are watching videos on how to attach propellers to the motors and are practicing.  The power wires have been connected and the connection is water-proof.

Team Lead Daily Log 10.May.2017

Our team continued to practice our respective exercises. Soldering has been going well, we're getting the hang of it. Dila is continuing to experiment with PVC pipe and plot out a design. The boys began looking at instructions for motors once they got the hang of soldering.

Team Lead Daily Log 8.May.2017

Our team spent the beginning of class watching safety videos and how to solder and strip wire. People who have to solder and strip wire practiced doing that. Dila began making prototypes and messing around with PVC pipe to get basic ideas of what to do.

Final Team Lead Post!!

  Booper, our ROV,  is complete!!
